We offer pony rides for children age 2-4.5 years old, and riding lessons for children age 5+.

Please see our lesson types and prices here

Footwear:

We recommend wearing shoes with a small heel (such as Chelsea boots) for your riding lessons.

Please do not wear trainers as they can slip through the stirrups. Wellie boots are also not suitable to ride in.

We are a working livery yard and riding centre so practical footwear should be worn by everyone attending.

Clothing:

We recommend wearing comfortable and practical clothing such as trousers/leggings and tops with long sleeves.

Please do not wear jeans, shorts or skirts.

Other:

All jewellery must be removed and long hair tied back.

We offer Hat Hire at the cost of £5 per person. This can be added to your basket when you book your lesson online.

A hat must always be worn and we recommend a body protector for all riders. BETA level 3 body protectors are compulsory wear for all riders for jumping lessons.

We welcome riders of all abilities, from beginner to advanced.

Please register here. Follow the instructions on our How To Book page to create an account, then you'll be able to book an assessment lesson.

Yes, we are a Pony Club linked centre. Please go to pcuk.org if you are / know a young person who would like to join our Pony Club!

We recommend all our riders take out full personal accident cover.

Whilst every step is taken to ensure your safety whilst you are at REC, horse riding is a high risk sport. Anyone who enters REC premises does so at their own risk. Parents who allow thier children to attend REC acknowledge associated risks. Horses can act out of charater on occasion, and this may result in an injury. We strongly recommend that everyone takes out full personal accident cover.

Please be mindful of our horses when you arrive at our centre. We ask that you do not walk through our yard and stroke any horses who are in their stable. Do not feed any of our horses without the permission of the instructor. Children must be supervised at all times, and you must not run through the yard.
